The Lions Automobilia Foundation and Museum was founded in December 2019 by Southern California businessman and car enthusiast, Rick Lorenzen. It’s nearly 100,000 sq. ft. facility includes galleries featuring Southern California’s infamous car culture and motorsports history. The experience begins as visitors walk in thru a 1960’s speed shop with genuine parts hanging off the walls and then enter the Main Street Gallery lined with classics automobiles parked in front of a 1950’s diner. The visitor experience has been described as mind-blowing, as each gallery reveals the human experience with the automobile. Lions is more then just a museum. The Lions Automobilia Foundation takes presevering automotive history to the next level with its onsite restoration facility. As visitors walk through the galleries, they will find that many of the vehicles on display were restored by the Lions Team.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved founder, Rick Lorenzen.

Rick passed away peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by family.

Ricks vision was the guiding light in the creation of the Lions Automobilia Foundation. His leadership and steadfast commitment to preserving what he referred to as a simpler time and to share with others. Rick enjoyed telling stories about watching the races at Lions Drag Strip as a young man with his friends and later meeting so many legends as they visited his treasured museum.

“As we navigate this challenging period, please know that I am committed to continuing Rick’s vision and values. My dedication will ensure that we remain strong and united, honoring Rick’s legacy in every step we take.” Tami Lorenzen-Fanselow.

Rick’s passion, commitment, and hard work have left a mark on all of us, and his legacy will continue to inspire us.

We celebrate Rick’s vision and taste, we are holding the 5th Anniversary bash on Saturday. In Rick’s memory.

Oh no... So sorry to hear

Sending prayers to Rick’s family, and friends.

So sorry to hear. Was looking forward to chatting with Rick on Wednesday when we bring two race cars up to be displayed. Rest in Peace. You've left a great legacy.

Prayers for all of his loved ones and friends. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Definitely heartbroken.

My condolences, Rick was a visionary. He loved cars and the Lions Drag Strip. As a representative from Lions Clubs International, he will be remembered.

Sweet Rick!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💔

Sad to hear, great man with his vision to preserve the sport.

Rick was a gracious and generous host for so many events at his iconic Lions museum. And avid drag racing fan who recreated the base camp of our youth. God Speed Rick, this is a great loss of a true Legend!

Rick was The Best! Prayers for peace and comfort to his family, friends, and all who are grieving this tremendous loss. Much Love to you all. 💙😪💔🙏💞💓

What a loss. He was a joy to be around. He was a patriot and a curator of the past. So many things Pin-Ups For Vets stand for. We were lucky to meet him and be recipients of his support and generosity opening Lions Automobilia Foundation to us for our 2024 calendar. His cars and his spirit are memorialized there for us.

Our deepest condolences to you and all his family from my husband, Rick Kussman and me. What an Amazing Guy! He has been our family home next door neighbor for many years. I worked with him back in the ‘90’s when I used to send temp workers to Price Transfer. He will always be fondly remembered….

Rick was an amazing man with a vision, that translated into the Lions Automobilia Foundation. I will miss his smile. Condolences to his entire family. He will be missed by everyone especially those who knew him and called him friend. 🥲🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥲

He was a great guy. When we went in to tour, he stopped by and chatted with us like we were long lost friends, even though we had just met him. We knew of his history and was amazed with all his knowledge. Heartfelt condolences

Rick is and will always be an inspiration. The mark he leaves in both the automotive community as well as his local community is indelible.

Rick was an amazing kind, gentleman! He will be missed by so many who loved him!

Known Rick for over 30 years. A wonderful man and good friend. Condolences to his family. He will truly be missed.

Such sad news. RIL- rest in love. 🙏❤ deepest condolences to his family and friends. He served so many, unselfishly

I am very sorry to hear that news. While I have not yet attended the museum, I am truly impressed by what has been built. It is a great vision, accomplished through dedication. Rest In Peace.

This is truly sad news. I feel so fortunate to have met and chatted with Rick on a few occasions. He had such an extraordinary vision for the museum and it will stand as a testament to his passion and his legacy. Heartfelt condolences to his family. May his memory be a blessing.

Sorry to hear, got the chance to meet Rick last fall at the museum when we were in town for the Finals. Such a nice guy. My condolences to his family and friends.

Great pic of an awesome individual. Both generous and gracious, he'll truly be missed. RIP Rick.

My deepest condolences. Rick was an inspiration to many, and will continue to be for generations to come as part of legacy.

Our condolences to the family, thank you for a great museum,, rest in peace Rick
